Lol Worlds 2018 Predictions
October 21 – Afreeca Freecs vs Cloud9
Afreeca Freecs are the last chance for Korea to be represented in the semi-finals. If they fail, this will be the first time since the Korean region joined the World Championship that we witness semi-final matches without a single Korean team.
The final tip in our 2020 LoL Worlds Predictions has to do with spending. The League of Legends World Championship is the biggest tournament in the LoL esports scene, so many punters take it as a cue to make high-stakes wagers. Yet, the principal rules of bankroll management remain the same. EsportsBettingTop » LoL » LoL Worlds 2018 Quarterfinals Betting Tips & Predictions. October 21 – Afreeca Freecs vs Cloud9. Afreeca Freecs are the last chance for Korea to be represented in the semi-finals. If they fail, this will be the first time since the Korean region joined the World Championship that we witness semi-final matches without a single Korean team. The 2018 League of Legends World Championship was the eighth world championship for League of Legends, an esports tournament for the video game developed by Riot Games. It was held from October 1 to November 3, 2018, in cities across South Korea.Twenty four teams qualified for the tournament based on their placement in regional circuits such as those in China, South Korea, Europe, and North.
Betting Tips & Predictions for LoL Championship 2018 October 12 – G-Rex vs 100 Thieves (Group D) After the brutal defeat from Fnatic, 100 Thieves confirmed their poor shape and were dubbed the worst participant in this year’s World Championship.
And while Afreeca Freecs are far from the mind-boggling form that Koreans had shown in past tournaments, they still have the Korean experience of properly approaching Bo5 series. Cloud 9, from the other side, went further in the tournament than anyone expected. With surprising performance and agressive playstyle, they will try to follow G2’s steps and reach for that semi-finals themselves. However, with the high difference of quality players it is doubtful that they have what it takes to take down Afreeca Freecs.
Prediction: Afreeca Freecs is going to win the series with a final result 3-2
Odds: 3.70
October 21 – Fnatic vs EDG
With today’s knockout of the favorites of this tournament, RNG, Fnatic position themselves as the new favorites for the trophy. With two well established carries, Caps in the middle lane and Rekkles in the bottom lane, enhanced by their jungle, Broxah, who has shown outstanding plays on Lee Sin in the last games of the group stage, they’ve made huge promises for successfully proceeding to the semi-finals.
And while EDG are not a team that should be underestimated, their poor performance in the group stage, especially against Team Liquid, translates into low odds into beating the European machinery.
Prediction: Fnatic is going to win the Bo5 series
Odds: 1.50
October 20 – KT Rolster vs IG
KT Rolster came to this Championship as the first seed from Korea. Their play-style gravitates around systematic plays and securing objectives, especially pressure by destroying the turret rings and inhibitors.
While IG showed strength in the earlier games of the championship, they were outclassed by Fnatic in two consecutive games, which isn’t a good sign.
We will, without doubt, witness a clash of two great teams. Nevertheless, with the explosive style from the side of KT, the consistent domination of the first matches in Bo3 and Bo5 series and their systematic pressure all around the map, I predict KT Rolster will destroy the first inhibitor in the first game of the Bo5.
Prediction: First team to destroy first inhibitor in the first game – KT Rolster
October 20 – RNG vs G2
RNG went in this tournament as the favorites. However, they have thus far lost 2 games against teams that do not fall in the top tier category – Team Vitality and C9.
G2, on the other hand, came us underdogs, and thanks to their unorthodox picks, such as the Heimerdinger in the bottom lane, they have surprised their opponents and managed to qualify to the quarterfinals.
Lol Worlds 2018 Predictions Ncaa Football
As RNG knows G2’s tactic, if they don’t underestimate G2’s potential picks and their unique play-style, I predict RNG will win the series with a final result of 3 – 1.
Prediction: RNG wins the series with 3 – 1
The 2019 League of Legends World Championship is on the horizon! Many teams from all over the globe have already qualified for the event, so there’s no better time for a preview and LoL Worlds 2019 predictions! With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about the teams, structure, and betting strategies for this international tournament. In addition, read our in-depth guide on how to bet on LoL Worlds.
LoL Worlds 2019 Tournament Format
We just have to start our LoL Worlds 2019 preview with the tournament format. The most important competition in the League of Legends pro scene begins on October 2 and lasts all the way until November 10, which might seem like a lot of time for a single event. However, anyone looking into League of Legends World Championship predictions needs to remember that this tournament is effectively split into two parts: the Play-In Stage and the Main Event.
Find out here all you need to know about LoL Worlds 2019 Tickets.
Worlds Play-In Stage
This is the wild west of the tournament. The Worlds Play-In Stage acts as the proving grounds for eight first-seed teams from the emerging regions and four third-seed teams from the major leagues. Each of these squads comes with its own style and identity, which it will be able to showcase in a 12-team double round robin group stage.
The Play-Ins might seem forgiving at first. After all, each group is composed of three teams, and two of them get to advance to the next stage of the event. The competition gets stiffer in the playoffs, as teams clash in grueling single-elimination best-of-five series. And once the dust settles, only four Play-In teams will go on to represent their regions in the Main Event.
Worlds Main Event
It’s no secret that the bulk of League of Legends World Championship predictions is made for the Main Event. This is by far the most important part of the tournament. Here, the four best-performing Play-In teams join the twelve strongest major-league teams in a cutthroat double round robin group stage.
Each group is composed out of three teams, and every match turns into a do-or-die moment since only the two lineups with the best win/loss records can qualify for the playoffs. The margins for error are slim, and even a single game can be the difference between turning into one of the best teams in the world or becoming a disappointment for your region.
Things get even wilder in the knockout stage. Much like in the Play-Ins, the matches switch to a best-of-five format. This time, however, teams get more time to prepare for their opponents, so you can expect them to attack each other from a multitude of different angles.
The Main Event comes to an explosive conclusion with the two strongest League of Legends teams battling each other in the finals, so expect to see a ton of League of Legends Worlds Championship odds for this matchup. And at the end of it all, the last team standing will lift the 2019 Worlds trophy and claim a large chunk of the multi-million dollar prize pool.

LoL Worlds 2019 Predictions: Teams and Favorites
No LoL Worlds 2019 predictions would be complete without a list of competing lineups. At the time of this writing, many teams are still in the process of qualifying for the event. - G2 Esports (Europe, LEC)

- Cloud9 (North America, LCS)

LoL Worlds Favorites
Of course, the core component of a League of Legends World Championship betting guide is identifying the favorites. Many fans will be looking at G2 Esports, a team of European superstars that picks its enemies apart through creative macro and relentless aggression, to repeat their MSI 2019 success and claim another international title for the LEC.
However, they won’t go unchallenged. SK Telecom T1 are looking stronger than ever, and their ace—Faker—has already gone on record claiming that he wants to exact revenge on the reigning MSI champions. The Chinese teams are not to be underestimated either. Royal Never Give Up have long since established themselves as a League of Legends powerhouse—largely due to the overwhelming firepower of the bot lane duo of Uzi and Ming. And while the name FunPlus Phoenix might not be familiar to Western viewers, there’s a reason why this squad is considered the best Chinese team to not make an appearance at international tournaments.

LoL Worlds 2019 Predictions: Betting Tips and Strategies
Another key part of a League of Legends World Championship betting guide is tips and strategies. The vast majority of LoL esports leagues has the same organizations competing against each other over the course of lengthy seasons. Meanwhile, Worlds 2019 will have a bunch of teams from all over the globe participating in a ruthless race for the trophy. Playstyles will clash, players will face unexpected matchups, and things will get very hectic as a result. Here are 3 tips to help you make sense of this chaos:
1. Anything Can Happen
For several years, the League of Legends community kept repeating that anything can happen at Worlds. Yet, this might be the first time that it’s true. Unlike what most League of Legends World Championship predictions would like you to believe, there’s no well-defined favorite here. Sure, G2 have a good chance of taking the trophy, but the same can be said about any other top team.
This means you need to be open-minded. Experts and analysts might be claiming that they know which team is going to take the trophy, but it’s nigh impossible to accurately gauge everyone’s power levels when there are so many variables to account for. The best way to circumvent this is to trust your own eyes. Keep tabs on the Twitch stream and try to figure out what are the strengths and weaknesses of attending teams. And use this knowledge to predict how they match up against each other.
2. Pick Your Battles
There’s going to be a lot of teams at Worlds 2019. For many of them, this will be the first international event in their history. For others, the pressure might get so overwhelming that their rosters will implode from within. That’s all to say that it’s incredibly risky to gamble on untested lineups. Whether you’re dealing with a squad of promising up-and-comers or a domestic powerhouse that’s just making its international debut, things can go horribly wrong in a matter of seconds. So think twice before you bet any money on them.
3. Control Your Spending
The final tip in our LoL Worlds 2019 preview has to do with spending. The League of Legends World Championship is the biggest tournament in the LoL esports scene, so many punters take it as a cue to make high-stakes wagers. Yet, the principal rules of bankroll management remain the same. You never want to bet more than 5% of your gambling budget on a single matchup—otherwise, you’ll be way too susceptible to variance. And it’s only when you learn to control the swings that you will be able to make money off the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.
